Girls Grove
Girls' Grove is a fun sacred space for girls 8-16 years old. It is about being in a loving community of peers where girls can be independent, choose what they want to do, and still be supervised.
Girls Grove is a place to be cooperative, create, talk, learn, share, play, and participate in events, and projects. There will be a schedule of events every day. Books, makeup, hair and art stuff, menstrual gear, herbal potions, tea, blankets, pillows, and music will be all around.
Kayla Becker will be supervising and available throughout the day and evening to watch over the schedule, share, and answer questions. During the gathering, you are welcome to attend any wonderful classes at the Faery Garden Youth Village. You are also welcome to attend adult classes for all ages.
This year we have 3 Girls Grove classes. One class is about celebrating the beginning of Menstruation called Rising Power with Mary Lou Singleton. And there are 2 classes called “Where is my Uterus” with Kayla Becker. Part 1 is for girls who have never been in this class and Part 2 is for girls who have. The uterus classes are both about learning how to find, honor, and care for your uterus and belly with herbs and massage. It’s a fun and interesting subject based on Rosita Arvigo’s teachings.
Be sure to review our Girls Grove Welcome letter which has the schedule and details of what to bring. You will also need to complete a medical release for each of your daughters under 18.
Once a girl arrives at Girls Grove her parent will sign a permission form. Kayla Becker will be the contact person for support and connection.

I live on 18 beautiful acres of Vermont wilderness in a home my husband Ray and I built. We have two wonderful adult children who both live in California. I am a reproductive health educator and am currently teaching a class at our local high school in Reproductive Justice.
Teaching girls about their reproductive bodies and lives is a major focus of my work. I am also a psychospiritual bodyworker focusing on abdominal therapy and women's health. I earned my Master's degree in 2022 and am now working slowly on a PhD in Somatic Psychology always with a focus on girls' and women's health. It is a great honor for me to be the co-director of Girls Grove with Hazel Grove.
